[Mir’s Global Radar]Two Pyeongtaek Firms Win US Defense Office Equipment Leasing Contracts Under $26.2 Million Program Two South Korean companies based in Pyeongtaek have been selected as contract awardees for a US Department of Defense office equipment leasing program with a maximum program ceiling of $26.2 million. According to an award notice issued on November 3 by the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), HP Rental and Global Company Alliance, both located in Pyeongtaek, were selected alongside Pennsylvania-based Trident for three multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The program covers the leasing and maintenance of multifunction office devices and related equipment in South Korea for a period of up to 60 months. The latest awards expand their participation into a longer-term leasing and equipment management program. $26.2 Million Program Covers Up to 2,523 Devices The procurement uses a multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracting structure. Under this arrangement, the US government selects qualified contractors and issues individual delivery orders according to operational requirements over the contract period. The original solicitation established a maximum program ceiling of $26.2 million and an estimated requirement for 2,523 devices over a period of up to 60 months. The scope includes A3 multifunction devices, accessories and related office document equipment. Contractors are responsible for delivery, installation, user training, maintenance, equipment relocation, technical refresh, removal and reporting. Network functionality and security requirements are also part of the program. Each IDIQ contract carries a guaranteed minimum of $10,000. Actual revenue for individual contractors will depend on delivery orders issued during the contract period. The program therefore represents a long-term equipment leasing and service arrangement rather than a single equipment purchase. Korean Suppliers Expand Participation in US Defense Procurement 릴게임사이트 The latest awards highlight the participation of Korean small and medium-sized businesses in long-term US defense procurement services. Federal equipment contracts frequently extend beyond the initial supply of products to include installation, maintenance, network functionality, security compliance and operational support. For equipment used in military-related facilities, suppliers must meet the technical and security requirements established by the contracting agency. The DLA program combines office equipment leasing with ongoing maintenance and operational services, placing importance on contractors' ability to support equipment throughout the contract period. HP Rental and Global Company Alliance were selected alongside US-based Trident. Their participation is particularly notable given Pyeongtaek's role as a major location for US military facilities in South Korea. The awards provide another example of Korean businesses participating in US federal procurement, with future delivery orders determining the actual volume of equipment and services supplied. Companies
